People don't engage in sports and fitness activity due to lack of time, far off locations, limited skill set, and unavailability of other people to play with.


A website(Sportsfinder) which by showcasing various sports and fitness activities happening around users, assist them in connecting with other users so that they can come together and play at the convenience of their time, location, and ability.

  • Primary & secondary research
    Conducted 5 In-person interviews and an online survey with 25 potential users to enhance our learnings and gather user insights.


Key research insights:

  • 88% of respondents engage in multiple sports & fitness activities​

  • 75 % of respondents find information on sports & fitness activities around them through word of mouth.

  • Only 58% of respondents take part in sports & fitness activity at least once a week

  • Over 70% of respondents keep of track of there performance

  • Hiking was the most preferred activity

    Created a persona based on research. Melissa (A social butterfly, who is looking to go hiking) created her journey map to gather insights & highlight pain points.

    Melissa wants to start hiking as an hobby, she needs to find a hiking group in her neighbourhood that she feels comfortable hiking with. She uses this site to discover a hiking group and join it.

  • Usability Testing
    Using proper screening & recruitment process 5 users were shortlisted, Usability Testing was conducted based on a User testing Guide & Scenarios. Each Test session was 30 minutes of in-person guided interview based on the user performing 1 pre-defined task using a medium fidelity prototype for a desktop. This helped in creating a usability test summary and recommendations.
